Hi friends, I just got it..... Android 4.4 Officially Named As KitKat. First we had Cupcake, then we moved onto Donut, then Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean. But now we have a new flavour and it’s not Key lime pie as originally suspected. Android chief Sundar Pichai announced on Twitter yesterday that the next version of the Android operating system (version 4.4) will be named Kit Kat, not Key Lime Pie as nearly the whole android sphere expected. Pichai place a nice photo of the Kit Kat robot standing proudly in front of Google’s headquarters, placed neatly in between the Jelly Bean robot and the Gingerbread man. Google has also launched the official website for the next version of Android, and the Kit Kat name is more than just a simple choice based on the next letter of the alphabet. Kit Kat, the confectionary, is sponsoring a massive giveaway that will let customers buy an Android-branded chocolate bar and enter to win Google Play credit or a brand spanking new Nexus 7 !
