Hi, friends! Im here to let you all know were doing just fine and things are going so well. I cant (and neither can the others) express how much gratitude I have for every single one of your prayers for our team, long and short, because theyre absolutely working. Were all so time-disoriented right now (it feels like weve been here for months and for only a few days at the same time.) Two days ago we went to La Union, one of the villages we get to visit each year, and I was reunited for the second time with mi amigos mejor, Darlina and Yvenson. I dont know how to describe the connection I have with these two. Theyve been my kids since 2012 and Im fortunate and blessed enough to see them each year. One of the best and most beautiful parts of this trip (and there have been way more than I can count) was when Darlina and I were sitting next to each other after the drama we performed there and she whispered in my ear, Yo quiero Jesucristo (I want Jesus Christ) and asked me to walk up with her to accept Jesus into her heart (after Zach had already explained everything to the kids up there). She is 12 years old, and honestly, I have trouble with sometimes believing kids truly know what it is theyre doing when they choose Jesus; however, Ive just been praying that those doubts would cease and I would continue to believe God can use any heart, intention, circumstance, or anything else for His glory. He wants her heart (and all of the people here as well) more than I want her to want Him which brings me so much peace. The biggest struggle Ive been having is not remembering all the Spanish Ive learned in the past. I used to know so much, but I didnt take a Spanish class last year so I lost a ton of it. That day, though, God was just so encouraging to me because when Darlina and Yvenson were speaking to me, He helped me speak and understand more than I thought I knew. He reminded me that Im not enough and thats perfectly okay. Theres so much I could say, but Id just like to ask for your continued prayers. Thank you all for being so supportive of us. :) Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever.
