Hi girls with so many wedding shows in full swing I thought it would be good to remind you of what to expect from your piper on your big day. So far it has been refreshing to see the care brides are showing in choosing their piper and not just thinking of cheap and cheerful , not a good idea !! The formats differ but the day would normally consist of us being at the ceremony an hour before to welcoming your guests and the bridal party, play the bride down the aisle and you both back out. At the dinner/wedding breakfast we find the most effective entrance is to play you to your seats with the piper ending up at the opposite side of the table, the bride then passes the piper a Quaich/dram where they propose a toast before playing themselves out , there are other formats with final decision being down to you. All our pipers are all of a very high standard having won many awards for both playing and dress and all dress in full highland dress , as on website” big fluffy hat” unless asked otherwise.
