Hi guys, I just read Jessica Chastain said that for her, Murph thought spirituality and numbers are the same thing.. I was hoping to ask, are any of you wondering thus far what the Nolan brothers or Kip Thornes spiritual beliefs are? :D I know Kubrick is an atheist... I am raised Catholic, but a very free thinker and a spiritual rather than religious person and some of you guys here are from India, with a very rich spiritual culture (I love the Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads) ... Knowing what we know about one crucial mind-bending scene in Interstellars 3rd act, could we venture to guess what the Nolan bros beliefs are in terms of spirituality and reality? Because alternate universes, simultaneous time can be sci-fi yes -- but it can also be aligned with very spiritual thinking - depending on ones slant on things... I dont intend to start a heated discussion -- but if theres someone here with info who could shed light on the Nolans paradigms (?) and what are some of your own, I think this is an interesting thing to discuss too. But, its fine with me if the Nolans are non-theistic but otherwise existential thinkers like Kubrick, I mean Batman wouldnt work as a compelling action and crime saga if Bruce Wayne just practiced ahimsa and meditation on the Joker :p ... Nevertheless, I feel Nolan has totally ventured into new territory with Interstellar and it just gets me thinking about the things above...
