Hi guys! Im playing in a band where I have to mix sort of drumset sounds with conga sounds. So I put down a mixed set where I have the congas on the place of regular toms. The problem is that the congas are very big and heavy to carry around, and I seem not to be able to find a confortable set up for them. So I thought about the Pearl travel congas or the LP compact congas, but they are very expensive and they might lack the bass tones of a full sized conga. So I thought about getting something in between a compact and a full sized conga, 2 shells of about 8 to 10 deep with the diameter of a conga and a tumba and get the skins and the heads and hardware to mount... Do you guys have some advice on how to get to sound as close to a a set of congas as possible without the exact weight and height... Any advices would be great, Ill leave a little video with the music Im playing... Thanks...
