Hi guys! My name is Krista and I had the gastric bypass surgery on December 7th, 2012. Prior to surgery I had pre diabetes, PCOS, no period since I was 16, infertility (and if I got pregnant the chances of a miscarriage was like crazy high and even on medication it was still about a 75% chance), sleep apnea, and the list goes on! I was 280ish lbs at 52. I lost 130 lbs after surgery in about 6 months and then I got pregnant! Oops. I was supposed to wait a year and a half out to do that, but it was an accident. Coolest accident ever, haha. Shes such a little blessing. ANYWAY. Pregnancy went great, she was born a month early but she did alright. Only a little bit of oxygen when born and about 12 hours in the NICU for monitoring. Now Im down 110 lbs from where I was and Im doing some super awesome workout classes at Amenzone in town (mommy and me classes ^_^). This is all stuff I never could have even come close to doing before. I FEEL so amazingly fantastic. Yay! Anyway, that is the short version of my story. haha. Looking forward to sharing with all of you and reading your stories, etc. ^_^ Oh and these pictures are of me and my mother at my wedding pre surgery and me and my mom a little while ago (post surgery)! We both had the bypass. Oh and then theres a cute one of my kiddo! lol.
