Hi, it’s me again. I’m sorry that I have to post this, but I am concerned that if I don’t, people on my pages may think badly of me. I have been doing these pages since April of this year. I spend a lot of time collecting pictures for the pages. I get them from Yahoo Group graphic groups, internet searches, shared pictures from friends and fans of the page, Pinterest and SHARING them from other pages on Facebook. I DO NOT TAKE PICTURES FROM OTHER PAGES AND SHARE THEM AS MINE. Proper etiquette for Facebook pages is to SHARE the pictures from other pages giving the other page credit for the picture. Today I found that a Facebook page has pretty much cleaned out my Timeline Albums on all of my pages and is posting them as their pictures. Most of them I shared in the past few days. The other Page has posted at least 135 of the exact same pictures today that I have already posted and as I said, many of them are from the past few days, including today. I realize that all the pages are going to have some of the same pictures, but one of the pictures is ONLY on my page and I did the colorization on the picture. I also find it hard to believe that it is a coincidence that this person just happened to find at least 135 of the exact same pictures as I have posted on my pages. At first I didn’t worry about it, but then I realized that people may not notice that I shared them first and might think that I took them from the other page and shared them on mine. I won’t name the page, but I just want you all to know that I don’t take pictures from other Facebook pages. I always share them on my page so the original page gets the credit. Some of you have asked me why I don’t put my name, initials or page name on the pictures that I post………..I don’t do that because it can be a copyright infringement and it is wrong to do because it would look as if the picture belonged to me. I have posted that the pictures are NOT mine and if the owner of the picture wishes me to remove the picture or give them credit for their work, that I would be happy to oblige. I wanted to do these pages to just bring beauty, fun and happiness to other people. Gayla from Purple Everything is the inspiration for my pages. The night I found her page (I didn’t know there were pages like these on Facebook) made my day!! I found that I could go to these pages and see one after another of beautiful pictures. This world can inundate you with a lot of ugly, so getting a break from the ugly of politics, crime and bad was exciting for me. I shared her pictures so that my Mom could see them and they had the same affect on my Mom. I then began discovering that the pictures my Facebook friends were sharing were from other Facebook pages! My Mom and I decided that I would start a page of my own. I wrote to Gayla and she helped me to get started. She has been so good to me and helped me so much!! She helps MANY other pages all of the time. Turquoise And Aqua Everything was born! I named it that in honor of Gayla’s page. Four months later I have many pages and have closed a few. A little while ago the owner of Deep Beauty In The Eyes notified me that I had some of her pictures on some of my pages that hadn’t been shared. I had found them on the internet and Pinterest and did not know they were her pictures. I immediately unpublished all of my pages so that I could remove her pictures because I wouldn’t have posted them if I had known they were her pictures. She was very nice and very understanding. I republished my pages once I felt I had gotten all her pictures off my pages. I am telling you this because I think it shows that I wouldn’t just take someone else’s pictures. I’m sorry this is so long but I just want you all to know that if you see the same pictures on my page and another page, I didn’t take them from their page. I share, I don’t take. Thank you all for supporting my pages by liking and sharing my pictures.
