Hi, me again... OK, to start off with, this is a loudspeaker and as such has no historical value, per se... That being said, when I first saw this photo, my heart stopped momentarily... Then I realized what it was and sighed... lol Many, many years ago, the first wind machine was built over near Whitewater and, as I wrote in the caption, this loudspeaker strongly resembles in appearance, what that machine looked like. I had the luck of seeing a photo of the machine in one of the Barker notebooks in the Banning Library about 20 years ago. Shortly after that, having noticed that some of the photos were missing, I was going through these notebooks and fixing them up as best I could at the librarians (Marie?) direction. I had not photocopied that particular photo as I had others and it was one of the ones removed from the notebook and hasnt been seen since. I am hoping that someone knows where that photo is and can help return it to the Library collection.
