Hi people! I have a question: at the moment I am in a traineeship at a community college in Holland to become an English teacher. Now and again I still think of the great opportunity given to me by ASSIST (the student exchange program) to spend a year at your school. Momentarily our goverment and the community colleges council are busy setting up a program/project called promoting excellence for community colleges in Holland. The leaders of this project are thinking of visiting the Annual Conference of the National Collegiate Honors Council in Denver, Colorado coming November and organising some kind of study trip for teachers or directors of our Dutch community colleges in the vicinity of Denver at the same time. They think that the American system of dealing with excellence is a good example for us Dutchies ;) I was asked by the projectleader whether I knew the names of some community colleges near Denver. Hence: Does anyone of you know the names of some good community colleges near Denver (maybe with some information on how they try to let their students excel)? Janny Hilverts, Holland.
