Hi, thanks for adding me. I was diagnosed with tongue cancer in April. I was sent to cleveland clinic and had the tumor removed along with 80% of my tongue and 14 lymph nodes on the left side of my neck. Then they took muscle from my left thigh and reconstructed my tongue. I started 5 weeks of radiation on July 28, 2014 and finished on August 4. I am cancer free and now going through physical therapy. I never smoked and havent drank in over 20 years. I just celebrated my 51st birthday on September 1. I think the worst part of everything was the radiation. It kicked my butt. Burnt, blistered in my mouth and neck. But I am Alive and kicking. I started all of this at 158# and now weigh 109#.
