Hi there - a group of my friends from Berlin are visiting New York from September 25 to October 6th and they are really interested in finding people to talk about their radical mental heath work. Any thoughts on where might be a good place to meet and discuss? Radical Mental Health Activism in Berlin „AKPsychiatriekritik“ is a mixed activist group of ex-users and non-users of psychiatry which was founded in Berlin, Germany, four years ago. We give workshops and lectures on various topics like radical peer support, together with other groups we organize the „mad & disability pride parade“ and weve just started to host a monthly „mad bar“. We would like to introduce our work by presenting the pride parade and the mad bar concept. Some of us who are working in the antipsychiatric facility „runaway house“ will also talk about their work. The workshop is open for everyone. We want to chat with you about radical mental health activism in New York and are interested in hearing about your experiences and activism.
