Hi to all Mount Pleasant students of the 21st century! I am the Sue Gerlif who did the mural on the second floor, in 1975. Im told its still there! How proud I would be if it was. Berenice du Toit did the more fabulous one on the ground floor. Have any of you continued the tradition? If not, why not? I would love to see my school festooned with fabulous artistic efforts! I used ordinary outdoor paints, not expensive. Go Mount Pleasant creatives! Paint your story, but ask your headmaster first :) I must also say, as a white woman, how it pleases me to see young black people in my school uniform. Hope you and your parents understand... that some of us didnt agree at all, but we were only children. My most sincere wishes of a Merry Christmas and peaceful new year to you all.
