Hidden Kings Jim Brown is the man responsible for the first Black Production Company/Studio in Hollywood , it was called Indigo Productions ...he has been behind the scenes producing black millionaires every since.....note that it has to be behind the scenes ...and not on TV, as it as seen today.... Personally, I would like the opportunity to meet Jim Brown one day, he reminds me of my own father, Troy Pettus.....I just wanna rap with him about his experiences with business ,government, and Hollywood......get advice This is my first time seeing him speak...and I cant explain it....I mean we have the same language ...same mentality...same goal of our ppl...same logic of our present disposition......same view of funerals and our own deaths.....and even similar solutions to our present disposition....my solution is a bit more broad in terms of our ppl, but that was an aspect. [Back Story] In the early 80s ,Richard Pryor had gotten healed up and ready to make a change in life. He got with Jim Brown and made the first Black Production company/studio in Hollywood ...Columbia Incorporated financed it for $40Million dollars.... Jim Brown was excited, finally, economic success for our people. Finally! a chance for our people to see ourselves as something other than gangsters, killers, drug addicts, butlers, maids, drug dealers, athletes, etc.... For us to facilitate a way for Blacks to have writers , actors, producers, designers, etc.. something that established evolution of our images in Hollywood. Richard was with it at first. Then all of a sudden ...Richard Pryor stopped listening to Jim Brown...Jim advised Richard to make Purple Rain & The Color Purple ..(the irony of color)....Pryor was not on board .....Pryor suddenly changed his entire mind and closed the studio only making one movie, about himself. He closed the First and Only Black Production Company in Hollywood.....so when they tell his story with Omar Epps ...I dont believe they will touch on that much at all. Watch The Video!
