Higher Everyday Monday, October 21, 2013 SIGNPOSTS TO SUCCESS This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate... observe to do...: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8) A motorist who does not understand the road sign will end up missing his way! A young person who does not regard the word of God as blueprint for breakthrough will be lost in the wilderness of social vices of the world. God commanded Joshua to be faithful to His word by meditating on it and obeying it. Youths who similarly follow Gods word will enjoy guidance from God and will be successful. The following steps are sure routes to academic success with happiness: (1) Reorganize yourself for success. This means that you draw up a workable time table. (2) Resist peer pressure and time-wasting ventures. (3) Read and read again as though you have examination to write the next day. (4) Remain focused in the midst of difficulties and be resilient. (6) Remain in company of Godly and success-minded youths. Rebuff fellowship with never-do-wells who are only waiting to make runs. (7) Rest in the promises of God to crown your effort with success.
