Highlights from National Pharmacy Technician Day from the Program Director, Brian Rawlings: For National Pharmacy Technician Day, we talked about how important pharmacy technicians are in America, and recommended that students write to their state reps, congressmen, and senators in order for this day to be fully recognized by ALL major pharmacy authorities. Of course, we had a little bit of fun, too. I provided students with a 4 course breakfast complete with omelets, pancakes, and hickory-smoked bacon, which is why the second floor smelled like bacon all day! When you see a pharmacy technician, give them a hug for providing most of the work necessary for Americans to obtain medicine in a safe and timely manner. Sometimes we may not realize how important pharmacy technicians are in healthcare, today is the day to recognize a technician! So, in summation: Sign up for RCCs Pharm Tech program and the director will cook you bacon :)
