There is too much suffering and poverty in the world today especially in Africa. Malawi is among Africa’s poor countries and faces a lot of social and economic challenges. Malawi is home to a population of over 15 million people most of whom are suffering badly. As we all know that not having money causes a lot of stress and heartache, and so this stress begins to affect the physical health of millions of Malawians. Too much stress can lead to hypertension, sugar diabetes, stroke, depression and a host of other health problems resulting from a compromised immune system. As a result, Malawi has become an extremely poverty stricken country. This does not have to be the case; you can do something about this situation. The petrol price in Malawi is 60% more expensive than the petrol price in South Africa, that affects the cost of living and the food prices. Malawi does not (yet) have enough industrial and commercial activity or resources to provide employment for everyone, and the other issue is that of education. Many Malawians are not sufficiently educated to get descent employment. So what is the solution to this problem? Entrepreneurship & Self Employment are the answer. Aim: The aim of the Business Seminar was to empower Malawians with practical information on how to become self reliant through entrepreneurship. We envisage bringing to the attention of Malawians a highly profitable low start-up cost - 100% risk free business model which is accessible to everyone without the need for hefty sums of start up capital. The average Malawian cannot afford to raise the capital or acquire a bank loan required to start a small business, thus the aim is to provide the ordinary Malawian with an opportunity for self employment - an opportunity that does not require a hefty capital or initial investment – an opportunity that provides full training and support – an opportunity that is 100% risk free – a self employment opportunity that is highly profitable and sustainable – an self employment opportunity that provides the ordinary Malawian with a chance to earn an honest living whereby honest hard work is rewarded by honest financial reward.
