Highlights of this week: I prayed for my children to all have a wonderful week in every way this week in school~ 4 boys, each with different ordeals and a mama determined to keep them in the game. It was the best week collectively that I can remember, especially after a really tough incident from last weekend had left me a little hopeless. Thank you God for answered prayers. My cousin, who is one of the greatest, most giving people I ever remember knowing, and who has had multiple unsuccessful attempts over many years at having her second baby and more suffered more heartbreak than is fair, has made it to the half way point of carrying the little sister of her son, Sam. Its still a delicate place to go to~ and so I pray quietly to see a loud crying, mess making, chubby legged baby that I would thrilled to share my birthday (January 13th) with next year. Thank you God for baby steps. I drove to Durham Wednesday night to attend the friends and family night service of a sweet old man I attended church with while growing up, who passed away this week. I had met them when I was 5 years old. What a beautiful family he raised and how many people followed thru the line to them to let them know how much he was loved. It was so emotional. The amount of love you get back for choosing to be kind is truly indescribable. Thank you God for Angels placed among us. I have talked to friends, and made some new friends, who I had assumed had everything together ~only to realize we are going thru such similar things. I tell them, just hang in there~ We are all in it together, and we laugh and cry sometimes at the same time, sometimes even without even having to say anything. Thank you God, for sisterhood that if you arent necessarily given in your own family, can find in Friendships. It was a very insightful week, in so many more ways even than these listed. I hope next week is even better, but I am realistic, still. So, Thank you God, for allowing me to weather the storms and for even just this one week of sunshine in the midst of them. It was beautiful and much appreciated. #InAllThingsGiveThanks
