Hilal War hails Omar’s statement..... .By ..P A Rashie Srinagar, June 24: The People’s Political Party chairman Er Hilal Ahmad War has asked the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to come forward to save the lives of more than a half billion people of this South Asian region by resolving Kashmir issue which, according to him, has assumed the shape of a nuclear flash point. War has appreciated Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s recent statement that the Kashmir issue could neither be solved through economic packages nor could it be resolved on gunpoint. “He (CM) advocated the need for a political solution to Kashmir issue. Therefore, his statement is an acknowledgment that Kashmir is an international issue. He has vindicated not only our stand but also the stand of JK Plebiscite Front wherein his grandfather had categorically raised an official slogan that the people are the masters of their own fate,” War said. “Omar’s statement should serve as an eye opener for New- Delhi.”
