JOB VACANCY POSITION: CREDIT OFFICER We are a new and very vibrant non-deposit taking microfinance institution looking to fill up the position of a credit officer. Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate should be very dynamic, of high integrity, result oriented, full of self drive and able to work under minimum supervision. The candidate will be required to perform the following: - Duties and responsibilities Marketing of products in the areas of operation Maintain existing and recruitment of new clients Facilitate registration of clients in existing and new groups Stimulate client training on the MFI’s policies, procedures and basic business skills, loans and finance management. Appraise loan application and facilitate disbursement Manage loans repayment collection and related follow ups. Manage deposits mobilization that meet defined growth and quality targets Prepare payments and recoveries progress reports Submission of daily, weekly and monthly performance reports Responsible for cumulating and maintaining client information Maintain good public relation between the MFIs and outsiders e.g. Public administration , religious institutions, business community etc Regular updates and management of all the records related to his / her portfolio (Saving, disbursements, collections etc) Qualifications and experience: At least a Certificate or Diploma Holder in relevant field including Credit management, Sales and marketing, Business administration/Management, Finance management, Banking or an equivalent. Have hands on experience in group/ individual lending Marketing or accounting skills and computer literacy will be an added advantage Excellent oral and written communication skills Persuasive with strong recognition skills, self-driven and possess the ability to work with minimum supervision, Have good knowledge of the micro-finance industry and practices and A self-starter who possesses excellent presentation skills Aged below 35years How to Apply: Qualified and interested candidates who meet the above criteria should submit their cover letter and CV to nyalicapitalcredit@gmail on or before March 24th 2014 Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
