Hillary is in the role of neo-Carter. Her role is to continue moving the Democratic party toward right centrist elitism and away from the populism. Cruz, Paul, Christie, or whatever half-brained monster that emerges on the right will be in the role of neo-Reagan. Their job is to point out the elitism of the neo-Carter character, then subsequently blame all charges of elitism against the Republicans on the elitist machine that supports the Democrats. While these two fake opponents work together to define the limits of political discourse, the Capitalist Fulcrum continues moving right along the spectrum of possible Overton Windows at 2-3% per year. The lesser evil party will NEVER AGAIN pull the fulcrum back. They may even in the best of all non-revolutionary worlds plant their feet and hold the window in place, as they seemed so close to doing in the 70s. They were wrong. By leaving capitalism in place, the Overton Fulcrum continued to be pushed rightward. Reagan was what resulted when they let Carter hold the leftward edge. With his weak grasp, he allowed Brzezinski to plant the seeds for the global fascism we are going through now. Obama was a neo-Carter. If he failed in his role setting the stage for neo-Reagan, then Hillary will fill the neo-Carter role. Only revolution can prevent the next neo-Carter, whose role will be to let go of the left edge of the window and send the fulcrum full bore to the next neo-Reagan.
