Hindi Diwas celebrated (the arunachal times) ITANAGAR, Sept 19: The Hindi Department of Donyi Polo Govt. College, Kamki, organized one day departmental seminar on topic ‘Sant Kabirdas’ and ‘Hindi Diwas Samaroh’ simultaneously on Sept 14. Hindi has been declared as official language by the Constitution of India on Sept 14, 1949. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Gomo Karbak, Assistant Professor, Department of Politicial Science has advocated that Hindi, as national language has immense importance for every Indian. Hindi is a language of peace, harmony, tolerance and unification. Doge Ngomdir, Assistant professor, Department of Hindi, highlighted the significance of Sant Kabir Das, the great poet of Hindi literature. Various papers on Sant Kabirdas were presented by the students which were followed by an interaction session. For Hindi Diwas samaroh, a cultural programme and various literary competitions like essay writing, poem recitation, painting, extempore speech and self composed poem recitation have been conducted among the students. More than 60 students from various departments took participated in these competitions. Taro Sindik, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi, expressed that Hindi is the only language which is used anywhere and anytime. This is the only language which act as a bridge between numerous communities of the country. Especially in Arunachal Pradesh we ethnic people cannot interact with one another without Hindi language, Sindik said. Certificates and prizes were distributed to the winners of the various literary competitions at the end of the programme.
