Hip2Save reader, Lindsay, recently emailed this question. Instead of trying to answer it on my own, I thought I would share it with all of you… Hi Collin! I recently purchased a $7.50 voucher from Groupon valid for $15 worth of Smoothies at a local restaurant. When I went to redeem the voucher with my 2 daughters and my husband, I was told that the voucher only applied to certain smoothies (namely the more expensive variety) although this restriction was not listed in the fine print when I purchased the voucher. This meant that the $15 voucher (which we intended to use to get the entire family smoothies) would now only cover the cost of 2 smoothies. I was so frustrated and was tempted to just walk out and toss the voucher in the trash can as I really felt cheated and deceived. However, in the end, we ended up ordering 4 smoothies and paying an additional $8 out-of-pocket – definitely not the deal that we were expecting. :( However, this whole experience got me thinking!
