Hippos fall under my jurisdiction of some of the cutest mammals on the planet. They’re preference for being in the water is much like that of a crocodile, although they don’t necessarily make the best roommates! Despite how deadly these 3 ton unmistakably adorable creatures are, they in fact don’t even eat meat! So for a Hippo to attack a human, what would it’s provocation be? Do we pose a threat or is it simply because we are not of the “norm” to them? These “River Horses” as the Greeks called them are very aggressive in nature for example their seemingly cute yawn gesture is more like a “you should run” kinda gesture! With their short life span we do indeed out-live these creatures in most cases but I fold to wondering who has the better lifestyle. Them or us?
