Hiring Immediately - Sr. Systems Support Analyst in Addison, TX (far N. Dallas area) Summary: Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for second-tier technical and systems support of multi-user operating systems, computer hardware, and software applications including installation, configuration, scripting, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This position is also responsible for providing programming solutions, systems analysis, database management, and other special IT projects as directed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: may include any or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Provide user access, ad-hoc reporting, and operational assistance as well as troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including component configuration • Anticipates and mitigates risks, escalates issues appropriately keeping all necessary parties informed, and formulates and implements work-a-rounds • Works with Applications Development and other IT Operations technical staff to develop and implement fixes in production • Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems, business procedures or problems to define data processing needs and identify alternatives for optimizing computer resources • Responsible for translating project needs into technical requirements, including a cost/benefit analysis as required • Prepares detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes as well as produces timely applications/system metrics reports • Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current system • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network • Create, develop, and maintain business specific programs as well as modify script as necessary • Define application/interface test conditions and write technical interface scripts • Performs applications maintenance such as MPM data upload, user data requests, workload distribution, and monthly/yearly historical data migrations • Provides training and technical support for other IT Personnel with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
