His living space had been shrinking, and then there was all that pressure on his tiny body. Her voice sounded stressed as she groaned with the pressure. Was she suffering? She was in pain that grew more and more intense, as did the pressure he felt on his little body and the intensity of her voice until everything changed. The tiny world he had known disappeared as he entered another dimension. The familiar voices were no longer muffled. The sound of her heartbeat, and the clarity of her sweet voice comforted him, the tiny child who came to be our Savior. You know us, Lord, so completely, understanding our struggles, knowing our pain, experiencing our grief and our sorrows. (Isaiah 53:4) You know our weaknesses, how frail we are, because You, experienced it all from the very beginning. We come to You with this confidence that You understand us and love us. Today we pray for those who are facing intense pressure in their lives. May they know the comfort of Your presence, today, that You are with them and will bring them through to a place of clarity and comfort, and be encouraged in the presence of their Savior.
