While she was writing One Dark Night, she asked me if she could use my name for that of one of her characters -- a good guy -- in her Regency novel, out of gratitude for the web site. Readers praise her novels for their power to draw you into the period. Like the best historical fiction, they engage the past fairly and patiently and bring it back alive.
