Historically, when the US deposed regimes, such as in Nicaragua, Honduras, Vietnam and Guatemala, the first step in our strategy was to wage an anti - leader propaganda campaign that basically made the leader look treasonous, amoral, and unfit to serve. The US would pay newspapers to run these stories and politicians, even ones friendly to the leader, to smear their reputation. They often paid rebel groups to protest, get violent and lead the revolt. I feel like someone/some group in the US has been making a SERIOUSLY concerted effort to turn the military against Obama and make Americans truly question his leadership ability. For what? A coup so the rich can retain control of our government and foreign policy? Obama hasnt exactly been appeasing them. The Christian State, just as fundamentalist as Islamic State, that wants to take over? As Michael Moore so eloquently stated, Dude, wheres my country?
