Hiya. Im pretty new to this genre. My favourite band is Deftones and I dig the heavier stuff but Ive always liked music that was emotive, atmospheric, haunting with distorted guitars that suggested emotions rather than announced them kinda vibe. Its only been really recently that Ive discovered shoegaze and started to explore. Can anyone recommend great bands for me to check out? Im based in South Africa and unless the scene here is really underground, Im not finding out much locally. Looking forward to the suggestions!
