Hiyohey! It has been brought to our notice that some people have been spreading nasty SMSes with malicious content about us, the Tetseo Sisters. We have earlier ignored them as we feel it beneath us to address such nonsense but it is not funny anymore as these people seem to be bent on casting aspersions on our good name. We feel that enough is enough and that we are doing a disservice to ourselves by being silent when a few people are spreading false rumours which hurt our reputation and cause distress to our family and friends. We are four respectable young girls doing what we love and trying to make an honest living through our art while preserving and promoting our unique culture at the same time. Criticism and jokes we can take but attempts at character assassination, slander and malicious rumours are not acceptable and we will be unforgiving to those who falsely accuse and backbite. Whoever you are who has started these texts, this is not right and your actions are criminal and amount to defamation and attempt to outrage a woman’s modesty. We will take legal recourse, if necessary. You owe us, our families, friends and fans an apology. You should also apologise to the other person(s), family and friends of those whose names you have maligned along with ours. To our dear friends, well-wishers, supporters and fans of Li, we thank you for standing by us and believing in us. We will continue to share our joys and sorrows and updates with you as always. Thank you.
