Hizb owns responsibility: 1 person injured in Budshah Chowk Srinagar, Sep 07: In a statement to KNS, Police spokesperson said, Militants lobbed a grenade towards police deployment near DistrictHospital in Pulwama this afternoon in which eleven policemen namely HC Mushtaq Ahmad, Ct. Fayaz Ahmad, Ct. Mohammad Yousuf, Ct. Ghulam Ahmed, Ct. Zahoor Ahmed, Ct. Hilal Ahmed, Ct. Ghulam Nabi, Ct. Rizwan Ahmed, Ct. Mohammad Rafique, Ct. Ashiq Hussain, Ct. Manzoor Ahmed, SPO Gowhar Ahmed and a civilian Shabir Ahmed resident of New Colony Pulwama were injured. They are being rushed to hospitals. Seriously injured have been rushed to Srinagar. One civilian, Bashir Ahmed from New Colony Pulwama got minor injuries. Meanwhile, Militant outfit HizbulMujahideen (HM) has claimed responsibility for the blast that took place at Pulwama. Spokesman of Hizbul Mujahideen, identifying himselfas Baleeguddin in a telephonicmessage to KNS said the blastat Pulwama was carried out bymilitants of the outfit. A security naka checking party at Budshah Chowk, Srinagar was busy in checkingthe vehicles. The naka party asked a vehicle bearing registration number JK01R/5054 to stop. The vehicle dodged the party and fled from the spot. The naka party fired at the tyre of the vehicle, injuring one person Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh of Machuwa Chadoora in the leg. He has been hospitalized and is so for out of danger.
