Hmmm! Ours is really an ARROGANT, PROUD OR POMPOUS generation. Last Sunday, a fourteen-year-old girl, whose elder sister I am older than by many, many years, just walked straight past me, while I was sitting at my own home, and rebuked me sharply and publicly for not greeting her. Initially, I thought she was joking but, most unfortunately, the next day, after studying the matter and asking her a few analytical questions, I discovered to my terrible and lingering shock that she was unrepentantly serious as she, without hesitation, told me point-blank that she did not regret her statement. Finally and unexpectedly, when I reported the matter to her parents, they blatantly trivialized it and ridiculed me making me feel and look stupid thereby adding fuel to the flames. Just imagine this!
