Hmmm... Why not tax the shit out of Oil companies that pollute our environment mercilessly and buy politicians off so they can skate away from social responsible operation. We can thus incentiveize them to frack other nations over for a while and see how long they get away with it! We can use what we have already, encourage alternative renewable energy sources, put more cash into education, grow greener energy uses like electric vehicles and such for a few decades. Cleaner air, cleaner water, more employment - seems like a win win. The industries that donate to Republican candidates wont like it one bit. Maybe Americans need to be a little selfish about OUR environment and the quality of life for our kids and grand kids for a change. Works for me.
