Hmmm wasnt a big fan of the film dark girls...dunno about light girls... I am considered light-skinned to some... I was often told I wasnt black enough or didnt act black enough to be black. I get questioned about my ethnicity all the time and as much as it can be frustrating I understand there is still alot of education to be done...I just wish these films actually showed solutions and steps forward. Whether you are black and dark or light skinned the pain is exactly the same...seeking validation.. but the real question is from who if it isnt yourself first. Your skin tone is yours to embrace and love. Those who have an issue with it, is their demon to fight not yours. Black is beautiful in ALL shades!! And before someone says....but gurl you are light skinned...being light skinned doesnt define who I am.
