Hmmmm … How many of you have an imagination? Im a Christian yet not really convinced of the Left Behind concept or Rapture. Parts of it make sense but everyone has an opinion. My goal is to be sure of my salvation where I stand today. That I am confident in …. Ill see those who have gone on before me in the place God is even now preparing for us … Heaven. Why? … because I have put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ .. repented of my sins (there are many) …asked for His forgiveness, believing He died on the cross in my place and confident of His promise that I too one day will be with Him in paradise (Heaven). Now back to my scenario how things might one day play out …. not sure this is the way it will work but it does make you think. News Anchor (Chris): Breaking news from around the world. Strange events are happening all across the country both in the sky and on the ground. The cities of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattles 9-11 system has been overwhelmed with calls and the sounds of sirens can be heard all over the Big Apple where I am broadcasting. Trying to reach city officials but our communication system and lines are unable for us to get a clear message because of the noise we are hearing in the background. To me .. it sounds like we are standing in a symphony hall listening to a thousand trumpet solos all at one time. You are urged to take shelter immediately as strange events are now being reported. We have Home Security officials on line right now …. Home Security (Chuck): We are asking that all airlines ground all incoming and outcoming flights. The skyways are filled with a large number of objects but they are too small to identify them as aircraft. News Anchor (Chris): These are incoming targets … right? Home Security (Chuck): Thats the confusing part … no incoming targets … only outgoing targets from around the world … particularly from our Southern states. News Anchor (Chris): Well get back to you but we now go to our environmental experts who seem to have an answer to this phenomenon of outgoing … what I would refer to as gas or if you believe in the supernatural … spirits. Dr. Gore: No doubt about it … we finally have become a vicitm of climate change. If you stand outside, you will see a parting of the clouds with a light coming from it. It appears our ozone layer has given way and there are strange particles entering our atmosphere as some are rising from our ground. Funny … some of our reporters describe these gases as being human like … some even take on the shape of horses. This is our warning that we should immediately reduce our carbon imprint … if it isnt too late already. News Anchor (Chris): You may be right Doctor … excuse me as we go live to our reporter in Washington, D.C. … Hillary … can you tell me what you see? Hillary (reporter): Chris … On my way to the White House, I was stopped by an unusual event near Arlington Cemetary. People claim to have seen graves opening and then people stepping out of them. This is not even Halloween Chris but it appears to be a great prank by someone. Wait … the ground is shaking again … News Anchor (Chris): An earthquake … Hillary? Hillary (reporter): Chris … youre not going to believe this but …. I see dead people! News Anchor (Chris): … uh … sorry to interrupt you Hillary but we have breaking news from the Space Station (under his breath) …. I think Hillary needs to see a psychiatrist. Comrade Putin … can you tell us what is happening on earth from your advantage point? Comrade Putin: Uh Houston ... you have a problem. News Anchor (Chris): (chuckling to himself) … uh Comrade … this isnt Houston. We are broadcasting from New York. Comrade Putin: Then you have an even bigger problem. Things are okay up here and lucky you … there is not as much activity where you are as there is in Houston. News Anchor (Chris): Can you explain to me what you mean and what you are seeing? Comrade Putin: Ill try … there appears to be many objects coming from the ground … mostly from the southern states of your country. There doesnt appear to be much activity on your West Coast and your location. Washington D.C. is safe. There appears to be no activity from that location. Wait … a larger problem. There are objects coming from behind us that appear to be descending to your location. Funny …. they dont look like meteors or rockets... they …(pause) News Anchor (Chris): Comrade … can you hear me? Whats happening? Comrade Putin: Youre not going to believe this … one of the objects passing us looks … human … hes caring a sign. The sign says …...uh ...Hi … my name is Dietrich. Theres another one .. his name is Adrian … and another … his sign says … you should have listened … Paul. This is weird. News Anchor (Chris): Not as weird as we are seeing outside of our broadcast booths window. People are singing, laughing and hugging each other but there are some who appear to be running … as if they are trying to get away from something. Lets go to our foreign corresponant in France … Madame Pelosi. Madame … are you there? Madame Pelosi: I dont know why you are so upset … everything is fine here … nothing strange going on … except people are complaining about the loud noise ringing through the air. It sounds like fog horns and we arent even close to the ocean. News Anchor (Chris): We might be overstating this … we are getting reports from the world over that very little is happening in their cities …. places like London, Moscow, Baghdad, Tehran, and Beijing but there is some activity in some of our third world countries and places in Africa. Weve tried to make contact with some of the religious leaders in the world but we havent heard from the Pope and many of the Christian missionaries throughout the world...... We now break from this broadcast to join a special message from our President …. POTUS: My fellow Americans, we are witnessing extra-ordinary events across our nation. We have reports of missing people by the thousands and strange sights in the sky. We have yet to identify the annoying sound that seems to permeate our entire skies. Its unclear what is behind these events and these disappearances but you can rest assure that I have some of my top officials on this. Mr. Holder and Mr. Reid will head up this investigation and disturbance. Please dont be alarm or panic … even though many of our Southern states report these disappearances, it appears many of our major cities – Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Miami, New York and here in our capitol Washington D.C. … few disturbances are being reported. At this point, I believe our citizens should remain inside their homes, listen to your local authorities and do what they say. I am in complete control and you can depend on me to keep you safe and find the culprits who are causing these problems and unrest. I do believe that the conservative far right may be at fault. Again … dont worry … I have your back … you can trust me to take care of you. The government is your salvation. News Anchor (Chris): One more report from a man in Texas. He is always posting things like this and certain criticisms of the government and our President has put him on the FBIs check list. Lets see what he has to say about this … Mr. Phelps?
