Hmmmm.. What excuses do we give ourselves for the loss of innocent lives? In silence, were technically accomplices. We frequently refuse to acknowledge them .. Or to reflect on our actions, our stand. In every war, there is collateral damage, but how much collateral damage must be endured, before we face our actions? You may be right,, you may think youre right.. But think about innocent blood. The bible talks about the blood of the innocent crying out from the ground, and God hearing those cries. May we not stubbornly refuse to act truthfully just because its inconvenient. Standing idly by is being an accomplice. When innocent people are killed by the police, we say oh dont be a criminal and you have nothing to fear; When people die from hate crimes (where the color of a persons skin is a determining factor in why they were targeted), we say oh were not in the 1960s, lets stop making a big deal out of it and playing the race card; When women get raped, we ask what was she wearing? or a woman cant be raped by her husband... Guess whose side God is on?
