Hmmmm....makes you think. Not to long ago a man in front of CVS in Gaithersburg asked for money, as I walked in and as I walked out, saying he was hungry. I said sorry, no, I didnt have any cash. A woman was behind me and he asked her also. She was so very rude and told him to go away and go get a job. I was appalled at her reaction to him. I sat in my car for a few minutes thinking about the lunch I had just enjoyed and dug out every last bit of cash I had in my cup holders and purse and as I drove away, pulled up to him and gave it all to him. I have no idea how much it was, but I hope it got him the lunch he wanted. I think we need to look at life in a different way. I know there is no easy answer to all the homelessness and poverty but we do have to change and be compassionate to those that are less fortunate. And even if you dont want to help, dont be rude about it.
