And of the 53 pared down members, I will just need to follow up our 6 inactive members most of whom remain updated in our Axlepino FB based Chat Rooms. We have incredibly talented members who have not been so active in their 2013 Website submissions and in FB participation so their brilliant works were not brought to the attention of our illustrious board of jury. I continue to believe in their mastery that should be as promoted worldwide. I am now strongly encouraging our extremely talented Axlepino members to please submit works in our website before we close submissions on March 15, if they wish to be included in our major world-class book publication and 2015 Axlepin Publishing Website Calendar. I am catching up on my reading hoping to fortify the efforts our staff are making to further their progress in work and in life…and I realized in the course of my reading that indeed all successful people are courageous leaders who conquered the fear of failure; and all these leaders have began with their skills in sales. By sales, I do not just mean commercial implication of it but by sheer fostering of the self that are so authentic, others are drawn to follow…case in point, I realized in effect I sold the idea of “Unity in Diversity” in Axlepin to bona fide artists, writers and poets in Facebook. I have had my share of rejection, that only served to reinforce the efforts I took to prove my point…that which required me to first build my integrity before I was able to finally sell this idea to people who truly matter…and some of these people are you who help establish the family community of Axlepinos. I have as successfully sold the idea of sublimity in the arts…and again by sublimity, I mean this: each human being is composed of the senses…to see, to hear, to smell, to feel, to taste…there is also the sense to intuit or the ability to know and understand something by instinct, now this sense I believe is merged with the spirit…this inexplicable sense of euphoria when listening to music, reading or viewing a specific artwork… Now when only the senses are aroused in artwork/s, the spirit is crushed so that the effect on the person is debauched or depraved of the more supreme experience of the nobler of arts. I stand humbled by the mastery of Axlepinos I sold this idea to and who know sell the same thing to the world. What we all profit in, is not the passing monetary value of these virtual sale transactions we exchange and make but by the enduring bond we forged in our inter-relationships and by the legacy we leave to our children…our children’s children, and for that matter- to the world. We forgot and ignore after the fad, every Tom, Dick and Harry who made short-term stir in arts, in music, in literature…but we all remember the likes of Beethoven, Frost, Monet and many others whose mastery continue to inspire only the true, the good and the beautiful in the arts…this is what AXLEPINOs strive in earnest to do.
