Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Woodworking are asking for a very dangerous precedent. Aside from the personhood of corporations, they are opening another very scary door: By their logic, they should be exempt from any financing of anything they claim runs counter to their religious beliefs. If the SC rules in their favor, it is only a few tippy toe steps to a position where they can claim that they can withhold pay from an employee who in turn would use that paycheck for purposes the employer rejects on religious grounds. What this would effectively mean is that the employer could impose a moral/religious test on prospective employees.
