Hold on to the word: ********************************************************** I would like to give a brief defination of a word and its synonyms. 1st its a single unit of a language which means something and can be spoken or written. 2nd its a bible and its teachings. The word can be synonymously known as a seed and Jesus. Mark4:3-4 Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seed.4 As he scattered it across his field, some seed fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate it. I believe that you cant use a word without understanding it first. You cant teach the word without having a field and the word its self. However, you must be like this man who owned a field and had some seed to plant. When we talk about a seed its either we are refering to Jesus or the word. And when you talk about the word its either you are refering to a seed or Jesus. Similarly when you talk about Jesus its either you are talking about the word or a seed. John1:1 In the beginning the word(Jesus) already existed. He was with God and he was God.2 He was in the beginnin with God.(NLT) I wanna conscientize you that the word found a footpath which represents the way, and when it was there birds came and ate it. When the seed is planted it dies and after dying it geminates and produces a lot of grain and crops. Some 100 and some 30. The problem with us today, we do receive the word but it doesnt die in a place which it is received. Its only when the seed has died where one will say, we are born of incorruptable seed which is the word of God. where someone will say since we are born of the word;we are the off-spring of the word. When it is so, i begin to understand that a seed is just a single unit which means something. Dear brothren, each and everyday Jesus is being planted in our lives but we dont want him to die so that we may be made fruitful due to his death. What we are more concerned about is the way, come on! Let me tell you, when you receive the word you havent found the way yet unless the word dies in you so that you can enjoy the fruitfulness of its resurrection. Dont jump neither do you have to leap, just relax. When the word is planted in your hearts it doesnt give you a way straightaway, but it gives you assurance that in the resurrection all will see that he is the way, the truth and the life. This is the reason peter suffered the pain of disowning Jesus. When he received Jesus, he thought that all things are well, he has immidiately found the way, the truth and the life. Thats why he was saying i am even prepared to lay my life for you however i began to realise that this unit of a language didnt have meaning to peter. It just fell on a footpath peter and when its taken away you begin to disown him three times and Judas you begin to betray him and Thomas you begin to be owerwhelmed by doubts. On the third day, the word began to gain meaning, peter and other desciples understood it better. On the day of pentercost thats when we see that Peter had the way, the truth and the life. Why? Because thousands were brought to the way, by receiving the truth which is life poured by the word of God(Jesus). The lord Jesus is looking for people to whom the seed can die. Kindly offer the best place in your heart and contain this seed. Hold on to the word of God, it will yield good outcomes in yourlife. Ground youself in the word of God for this reason. 2Timothy4:16 All scriptures is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. BE GROUNDED ON THE WORD OF GOD.
