Holidays and Heroes Series: Kislev The “Holidays and Heroes Series” is designed especially for young learners. Children in Pre K through first grade who love listening to stories, learning from active, hands-on experiences, expressing creative thoughts, and investigating their world, are sure to enjoy this substantive program! The series presents the months of the Hebrew calendar by highlighting one (or more) holidays and heroes each month. Kislev! One of the happiest and most memorable months of the Jewish year for young children. It’s a month of miracles, freedom, and light. Kislev brings us Chanukah celebrations with yummy treats, delightful songs and games, gelt, and gifts! It brings us tales of Chanukah heroes, brave Maccabee soldiers, and mighty elephants! This program has been designed to enhance the Chanukah experience for your young children. Fresh and fanciful activities include storytelling, crafts, cooking, role playing, and more.
