Hollyoaks is lining up a new romance storyline for Esther Bloom, as she will soon catch the eye of Lindsey Butterfields sister Kim. The relationship begins on screen early next month, when Kim becomes smitten with Esther and asks her out to lunch. Naïve Esther initially has no idea that Kim (Daisy Wood-Davis) has a romantic interest in her, so she invites her new friend Grace Black along to the lunch date too. When Kim wrongly assumes that Esther and Grace (Tamara Wall) are a couple, she feels disappointed and makes an early exit. Its only when Grace points out the obvious to Esther that she finally realises what is going on. Jazmine Franks, who plays Esther, told All About Soap: Esther gets herself all glammed up and heads off to the hospital to apologise. She wants to let Kim know that the feeling is mutual and she fancies her too. It all goes well because they end up kissing on a hospital bed and get caught by Dr Savage! He gives them a funny look and walks away, but Kim goes to apologise because its her job thats on the line. Esther follows her to say sorry for getting her into trouble, but when she gets there, she overhears Kim telling Dr Savage that Esther is stalking her and that its not her fault they were kissing. Despite Esther being hurt by Kims lie, they later manage to get things back on track - leaving Grace fearing that she will back out of their surrogacy plan. Franks continued: She wonders why Esther would want to have a baby for her when shes just starting up a new relationship with someone. Shes concerned and so she gets on Esthers back a bit about it. No-one will leave poor Esther alone - she cant get a moments peace! Kim will obviously be shocked as its an unusual situation. I hope she reacts well, though. And Grace is about to take matters into her own hands to make sure this baby happens - she always has something up her sleeve and will stop at nothing to get the child she so desperately wants. Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
