Hollywood comes to Girard! Regardless when you went to Girard, isnt it great when we see our Alma Mater in a Hollywood movie, or read about it in a best-seller? Well, here a three instances of Hollywood productions filmed in part at Girard, or inspired by the Hum! (1)ANNAPOLIS (2006) starred James Franco, Tyrese Gibson, and Donnie Wahlberg. Alas, pretty much a stinko movie (the Naval Academy declined allowing the filming there, so Girard became the Academy), but great shots of our school. A well-received and financially successful flick. Much was filmed at Eastern State Pennitentiary, but one scene was filmed in Founders Hall! Its somewhat camouflaged, but WE will recognize it!
