Holy Spirit wrote Bible 2 Peter 1:20-21 NIV [20] Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophets own interpretation of things. [21] For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2 Timothy 3:16 NIV [16] All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, The Bible is so complex and so intricately written that it could not possibly be written by man. I know that men actually did the writing, but God the Holy Spirit inspired them to write the words that he wanted. We know from John 1:1, that Jesus is the word, literally means, He is the spoken word, the written word, and the living word. The text itself is 66 books written by over 40 different guys, over a period of almost 2000 years plus, it seems to be written by someone outside the dimensionality of time. This can be plainly observed through the many predictions or prophecies, that are made and then fulfilled many years or even centuries later. There are well over 300 prophecies alone about Jesus Christ. The New Testament is in the Old Testament .concealed the Old Testament is in the New Testament revealed. Its one integrated carefully designed book. I wrote about this a couple months ago, but I think it needs to be repeated. The Bible is so perfectly written and orchestrated, pointing to one pivotal event in the history of mankind, precisely, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Take for example, a seemingly meaningless and mundane chapter in Genesis. Chapter 5 is one of those chapters you just want to read through as fast as you can, in order to get to the good stuff. In this chapter youll find the listings of the generations of Adam..Adam begat Seth...etc.all the way to Noah. I did the math and Adam was 919 years old when Methuselah was born. Methuselah was Noahs grandfather. Methuselah means, when he dies it will come. Meaning, the flood.Noahs name, means to bring relief, comfort. So understand this, God caused all these children to be named certain names, so he could spell out his plan for mankind, fulfilled in the new testament. This little demonstration only took about 13 centuries. So now we have all these name meanings, but what happens when they are put together? Adam. - Man Seth - Appointed Enosh - Mortal Kenan. - Sorrow Mahalalel -The Blessed God Jared - Shall come down Enoch - Teaching Methuselah- His death shall bring Lamech- Despairing Noah - Comfort Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow, (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing comfort. Here is a one sentence prophecy of the Gospel, embedded within the names of the people in Genesis 5. Here we see how God ever since the beginning, planned salvation so that we may know life. Meticulously and precisely written. References Chuck Misslers Learn the Bibe in 24 Hours (2005) Ill try some Bible codes next.
