Holy crap running a small business is a ridiculous pain in the butt. You need a federal tax ID, then a separate state, then another number for unemployment (umm, the whole point is to be an employer...) and the easy to use websites have broken links and pages that dont work. Using an accountant should be a luxury, not an absolute necessity. I would love to know how much time and resources and money is wasted collecting taxes. And think if we just had a single sales tax (ala fairtax) how easy it would be and how much more of your tax dollars would actually DO something instead of just being pissed into a hole.
