Home About us News Articles Videos Contact us Balochistan decides to stay away from Pakistan’s national elections Posted on 2013-05-10 ( 1774 reads ) Quetta : Past one week has been one of the most crucial and decisive weeks in the history of Balochistan. Pakistan has deployed more than 100,000 military forces there in the name of security for elections. They security forces have started massive scales of offensive across Balochistan and over 200 people have reportedly been arrested and disappeared since the deployment of military. Balochistan has been on a complete strike against the election campaigns and the Baloch Sarmachars [freedom fighters] have continuously been attacking Pakistani security forces, their check posts and electoral candidate for the Pakistan elections.Sources reported that today the streets of Balochistan are empty and shops are closed as the Baloch people have decided to stay at their home. The boycott strike is being observed on the appeal of patriot Baloch leader Hyrbyair Marri, one of the top leaders of Balochistan. The Baloch Republican Party of Brahumdagh Bugti had also appealed for the shutter down strike and appealed the Baloch people to stay at their home today (11 May 2013).Throughout the night bomb blast and firing were heard all over Balochistan.
