Australian Unity Home Care services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All you have to do is pick up the phone and call. Whether you need all day assistance or just a hand for an hour, we’re there for you. Personal Care. We can help you with showering, dressing and grooming. This can be particularly helpful if you’ve just come out of hospital or are recovering from an injury. Domestic Help. It’s always great to get help with the chores. We can assist with light domestic cleaning around the home, doing the laundry and changing the beds. Meal Preparation. We can cook up some delicious meals with fresh ingredients to your exacting taste and standards. We think even former food critics will be happy. Transport. We can take you on outings to do the shopping or visiting the doctor. Perhaps you’d like to see the grandkids play soccer or catch a movie. The options for help with transportation are endless. Travel. The sky’s the limit and we’d love to see you travelling. We can help you with planning a trip and assisting with departure and arrival assistance whether by air, sea or rail. We might even be able to arrange for one of our carers to accompany you on your travels. Bon voyage! Companionship. Sometimes it’s nice to simply have someone to have a cup of tea with, play a game of cards, do some craft, talk about the news or go for a stroll. We have some really nice people waiting to meet you! Respite Care. You may have a regular carer who is a family member or friend. Australian Unity Home Care provides the very important service of respite care allowing time off for you and your regular carer within purpose built spaces. Medication. Our professionally trained Home Care staff can provide medication assistance and reminders to you or your loved one. Advance Care Planning. Our carers can assist in helping you create plans for your future medical care. Odds and Ends. Sometimes you need someone to oversee a home delivery, organise a gardener, clean out the cupboard next to the fridge, write a letter or help with Scout’s vet check.
