Homefront is a typical Jason Statham offering. Predictable and forgettable, yet filled with fast, loud, occasionally brutal action. Written by Sylvester Stallone. Good luck accepting the idea of Statham blending in with a bunch of rednecks in some Louisiana backwater. And he even inexplicably maintains his British accent for the most part. James Franco plays the villain, a leering, unhinged sadist, and local meth manufacturer named Gator. It was a pleasure to see Winona Ryder, in a highly fascinating role, one that I could also have seen Christina Ricci in as well
