Homi Bhabhas Mumbai bungalow sold for Rs 372 crore Mumbai, June 18: The sprawling Mumbai bungalow of India’s best atomic scientist the late Homi Jehangir Bhabha, was sold to an unknown buyer for Rs 372 crores at an auction, despite demands to turn it into a museum. Reports said that the property fetched Rs 115 crore more than the reserve price of Rs. 257 crore. Mehrangir, the three-storey bungalow in Malabar Hills is spread over 15,000 square feet and offers a beautiful view of the sea Scientists like Bharat Ratna awardee CNR Rao had been demanding that the iconic bungalow be turned into a museum by the government as a tribute to Bhabha, widely regarded as the the father of Indias atomic energy programme.
