Hon Friday Okoh AKA Hero :Our Star The phenomenon of stars is a feature of advanced political geographies of Europe and Americas. Its not only a policy of investment by parties for immediate electoral devidends but safeguarding the future of the entire country through nurtured. Party strategists and kingpins normally spread their searchlight within and outside the political terrain to see personalities who glued their eye on the ball of life and working hard towards achieving set goals. After scaling such elements, direct and indirect moves are embark upon to get them initiated(involved) in politics at all levels. Spaces are provided for them to showcase their dexterity and sagacity at every stage, a process that can be call a spring board event. This was how The skinny boy with a funny name Barak Hussien Obama was discovered in Chicago and made a key note speaker in 2000 Democratic Convention. Sensing that Obama has taken his last shot and going out, they have identified yet another star Mayor Julian Castro of San Anthonio Texas and made Key note speaker in 2012 Democratic Convention. Today, Mayor Castro has been appointed Secretary of Housing and feelers holds that, he is a Democratic Vice Presidential running mate in the next U.S Presidential polls. After suffering many defeats right from late 70s from Convervative Party, U.K. Labour identified a lawyer Mr. Tony Blair and surrendered its leadship to it,that became their saving grace. The Conservative Party, immediately copied this strategy by making Mr. David Cameron their leader, and instantly, it yielded devidends. There are stories of President John Dramani MAHAMA of Ghana, Jakaiya of Tanzania, and the present Labour Leader in U.K. These cream of leaders were caught and groaned for higher tasks that climaxed with leading nations or holding sensitive positions in their climes. Similarly, Delta State is littered with intelligent, dogged , and never say die rising stars in all departments of life. They are in public and private sectors- keeping and breaking records at home and abroad. One of our star a dedicated and pivot youth Leader that certified all conditions that is ready for leadership task is Hon Friday Okoh , from Owa Oyibu in Ika North East, a matrix that gave him a unique feature like Barak Obama and Mayor Castro. As a golden fish that has no hiding place, he has been identified and persuaded to throw his hat in contesting the Delta State House of Assembly in Ika North East Constituency. Because of his belief that life is beyond self and there is no higher honour than service to mankind, He has accepted the challenge and warming up for the Delta State House of Assembly in Ika North East constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). Hon Friday Okoh believes in winning tough battles, he is dogged, and hard lIke nail- a disposition of winners and leaders that leaves mark on the sand of time. the People`s Honourable is willing to challenge the setting through appealing to sound reason and unveiling the richness of the social contract he wants to enter with the people of Ika North East. He will be a tough fighter like a lion and tactical like fox, and believe that he will belly up his opponents. We beseech all within the PDP to support the emergence of Hon Friday Okoh as its flagbearer for 2015 polls. Similarly, we encourage people of Ika North East to enter into a social contract with this star we all hope will soar to the highest height in 2015. A vote for him is akin to ending the history of not investing in the future and opening a new chapter in the political history of Ika North East . Hon Friday Okoh is a typical Ika man that will never seal lips when a voice is needed and will never looked the other way in the face of evil machination of the enemies of his people. He has what it takes to always ask where is the share of my people in this year budget. He will never be a Honourable Member that will appropriate money to ministries and parastatals without carrying out his oversight functions to see whether the monies appropriated has been put to use, judiciously. O God, you commanded your followers to have faith and work.Your servant is doing that. You told us to ask, seek, and knock. We ask you to make your servant Hon Friday Okoh a member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Ika North East Constituency in 2015.
