Honestly, I dont feel the need to defend the actions of every single follower of a religion that is practiced by almost a quarter of the world population. There are very bad people in the world and today a few of those bad people committed one of the most atrocious acts regardless of what religion you practice: killing the innocent. Islam is a religion that promoted rights such as freedom of speech and religion far before any country practiced them. Why am I responsible for justifying my religion just because of the actions of men who I share no common practice with other than the fact that they also say the name of their God in Arabic (Allah)? The Quran very clearly condemns killing of innocent individuals.
